Depending on the fluid or slurries being processed, Kerone Engineering Solution LTD. manufactures spray dryers with a range of complexity from very simple to quite complicated. Different design aspects include atomization, airstream pattern, air heating systems/technique, separation and collecting unit, and others. The main components of spray dryers are a drying chamber, an atomization and dispersion system for delivering fluid into the chamber in tiny droplets, an air heating system, and a separating device to collect the dried output.

Direct gas firing, the use of fuels, or the use of heat exchangers are all methods for producing hot air. To distribute the fluid components, pressure spray heads, nozzles, and centrifugal atomizers are used. The processed product is separated using cyclone separators, which apply air laterally at the top, or settling chambers, which change the airflow direction to produce gravity-based separation of dried products. Both approaches are shown in the graphic below.
