Kerone a sort of industrial drying apparatus called a rotary dryer is used to remove moisture or water content from a variety of materials. They are frequently utilised in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, processing, mining, and agricultural, to mention a few. Reducing the moisture level of the material being processed makes it easier to handle, transport, and store. This is the basic goal of a rotary drier.

A rotary dryer consists of a large rotating drum or cylinder, typically made of steel that is slightly inclined from the horizontal plane. The material to be dried is fed into one end of the drum and is gradually guided to the other end by the rotation of the cylinder. The drum is equipped with internal lifting flights or baffles that lift and cascade the material, allowing it to come into contact with hot air.

The hot air is introduced into the rotary dryer either directly (co-current flow) or against the direction of the material flow (counter-current flow). In co-current flow, the material and the hot air move in the same direction, while in counter-current flow, the hot air flows in the opposite direction to the material. The choice of air flow depends on the specific characteristics of the material and the desired drying efficiency.
