The material to be dried is positioned below the radio frequency (RF) generator, which produces the high frequency alternating fields between its two electrodes. The polar movement in the water molecules caused by the alternating fields generates friction with the material’s water molecules, and this friction heats the substance. If enough energy is used, the water or solvent will turn into steam and escape from the substance, which will cause it to dry.
